Complaint – Breach of Code of Conduct

Information under paragraph 7C of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Standards Committee (England) Regulations 2008 (information presented to a Standards Committee or to a Sub-Committee of a Standards Committee set up to consider any matter under regulation 13 or 16-20 of the Standards Committee (England) Regulations 2008).

Complaint - Breach of Code of Conduct

The report on behalf of the Monitoring Officer and all relevant information will be circulated at the meeting.

Minutes:

Members considered an investigation report prepared on behalf of the Monitoring Officer which set out details of an investigation conducted into complaints that a Member had failed or may have failed to comply with the Authority’s Code of Conduct for Councillors.  The Sub-Committee fully considered and discussed the report, with each Member setting out their individual thoughts on its contents.

 

The Sub-Committee noted that the investigation had concluded that there were no breaches of the Code of Conduct.

 

RESOLVED:  That

 

(1)               the findings of no breaches of the Code of Conduct identified in the investigation report be accepted and agreed;

 

(2)               no further action be taken as there was no breach of the Code of Conduct.
